Look Sharp in Suspenders

With my taste for new pieces growing, I've finally tackled the suspender. Like pocket squares, suspenders are a valued additive to any collection but usually voided by unpopularity. Suspenders basically eliminate the need to wear a belt and serves as a nice alternate to the everyday buckle. The redundancy of bearing a belt is almost staggering so its nice to switch up once and awhile. The straps may be elasticated, either entirely or only at attachment ends and most straps are of woven cloth forming an X or Y shape at the back.

In traditional or formal settings, it is considered a faux pas to wear both suspenders and a belt at the same time but varies with personal style and likenesses. A pair from my personal collection below.
