Members Only Jacket (Vintage)

 I stumbled upon this jewel in a thrift store. While browsing the "vintage" section it instantly caught my attention. Classic Members Only jacket. Zip jacket; slit pockets with rib knit trim at the front and chest; epaulets; snap tab collar; rib knit cuffs and hem; full lining; iconic logo tag detailing. The jacket is an off-black, more shadow-grey hue and is the center piece of things to come. The company was really big in the 80s but fell off as the years foiled on. Seeing a Members Only coat grew harder and harder to spot and the company eventually filed for bankruptcy.

• Currently, the jacket company is still making new designs. We can only wait to see what the brand comes up with next. Urban Outfitters has started rendering more updated versions of the original 80s model like this one .  

• Members Only is a brand of clothing that became popular in the 1980s with the Members Only jacket. The brand was created in 1975 and introduced to American markets in 1979 by Europe Craft Imports (later acquired in 1987 by the Marcade Group, which was renamed Aris Industries in 1993).
