May's Ensemble
Every place that I visit physically or online almost always contains random pieces that I may want. The essence of creating outfits and collections are stemmed from these clouds of appeal. With that being said, I've decided too post a monthly ensemble of my favorite items I viewed within the past couple weeks. These can range from anything to clothing, socks or shoes to carry-all bags and pocket squares. This time around I chose 6 items of interest. Check it out below.
Shirt - Another clean Ralph Lauren button-down with a simplistic design. You can never go wrong with a nice button down, nothing more to say after that. Retail, $95.
Shoes - Brooks Brothers Boat Shoe, $200. Classic boat shoe design with calfskin upper and leather lining. These are great for the upcoming summer weather and can be worn sock-less as well. The good thing about boat shoes or "deck" shoes is that they are versatile. They can be sported with shorts, long pants or the chino if decided.
Belt - Surcingle Belt from Leather Man Ltd., $28. These canvas and leather surcingle belts are the perfect gift because they are customizable. Instead of picking one out, purchase a gift card and allow the recipient to design their own belt. It's an inexpensive and easy way to get someone something they're sure to like because they're the ones who pick out exactly what they get. It comes in enough colors and with enough design options, there's sure to be a perfect combination for everyone.
Watch - Signature Grand Complication, Citizen, $1125. There are many fine watches to be had, and at many price points as well. But with fine watches comes a price, regular servicing that can sometimes cost almost 1/10 of the MSRP. This watch is right up my alley but a little too expensive for me to purchase just yet. Someday...
Shorts - Also from Brooks Brothers, a lightweight garment-dyed cotton with seersucker pocket and interior makes these shorts ideal for any occasion. The pastel tones are perfect looks for the spring/summer and will definitely make a bold statement. A must-have in any consumer's closet.
Camera - A highly coveted DSLR camera. I recently purchased a Nikon P100 camera and its great. Its technically not a DSLR but its very close to one. With blogging being a part of my life, having nice photos and stills are always a plus for my posts and having a nicer camera makes that happen. Eventually, I will purchase a better camera and spend a little money. I guess its worth it right?
